- This policy covers how Osborn Abstracting treats personal and/or company client information that Osborn Abstracting collects and receives, including information related to your clients, your clients personal information, your company, your companies personal information and data on your past business with Osborn Abstracting. Personal and/or company client information is information about you or the company client that is identifiable like name, social security number, date of birth, address, e-mail address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.
- This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Osborn Abstracting does not own or control, or to people that are not part of the Osborn Abstracting management team.
- Osborn Abstracting collects and uses personal and/or company client information on a day to day basis through normal business practices for abstracting services.
- Osborn Abstracting does not rent, sell, or share personal and/or company client information as defined above with outside individuals or nonaffiliated companies except to provide services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
- We provide the information to trusted subcontractors (abstractors) who work on behalf of or with Osborn Abstracting.
- We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
- We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.
- If Osborn Abstracting is merged with another company. In this event, Osborn Abstracting will notify you before information about you and/or your company and clients are transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- We provide the information to trusted subcontractors (abstractors) who work on behalf of or with Osborn Abstracting.
- Osborn Abstracting does not set or access cookies on your computer.
- We limit access to personal and/or company client information to the Osborn Abstracting management team members who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide services to you.
- Your Osborn Abstracting database information is always kept in a secure password-protected domain.
- Osborn Abstracting may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal and/or company client information by sending a notice by fax or e-mail.
